The Woods remain in the bottom two of the Suburban League Premier B Division after conceding a late equaliser to bottom club East Grinstead.

Northwood began well and dominated the early stages but without threatening a goal, and the visitors then took the lead against the run of play with a well-struck shot that gave goalkeeper Garry Malone no chance.

The Woods worked their way back into the game but were still trailing at half-time. Substitute Temitayo Fambegbe came on five minutes after the break and just five minutes later he was put through on goal and he finished smartly to level the scores.

Northwood continued to dominate but they had to wait until the 75th minute to take the lead, though when they did it was a superbly worked goal. It was a great flowing move that eventually saw youngster Luke Fox send over a cross from the left and find his dad Dave Fox at the far post, where he slotted home.

The home side were looking to hold on to three valuable points in their efforts to avoid relegation, but sadly they conceded a goal just three minutes from time. There was a good move down the right which saw a player beat two defenders and cut in to shoot. Malone was unable to hold the shot and the ball ran loose, and the visitors snapped it up to make it 2-2.
